IF&B Canaries - Grupo Comit

Grupo Comit was founded in the Canary Islands in 1993 and quickly became the leading distributor of Italian food products in the archipelago. In 2016, it joined the IF&B group, consolidating its growth and strengthening the partnership to become a stable reference point for the local market.

Today, the group has offices in five islands — Tenerife, Gran Canaria (headquarters), Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, and La Palma — and complements its distribution activities with three production centers: Tecali (dairy in Tenerife), Hostería Butarelli (fresh pasta in Gran Canaria), and Ciao Ciao (artisan gelato). Through these facilities, IF&B Grupo Comit produces, imports, and distributes Italian and international specialties, also integrating Spanish products to provide a more complete service.

With a portfolio ranging from food & beverage to meat, fish, and premium Italian and Spanish specialties marketed under the The House of Fine Foods division, Grupo Comit serves restaurants, hotels, resorts, supermarkets, and cash & carry across all the main islands. Its ability to innovate, combined with solid logistics and local production, has enabled the group to stand out and establish itself as a market leader in the Canary Islands.
